Abstract

The graphical technique for nonlinear circuits was described that enable us to optimize circuits to obtain maximum output power, maximum efficiency or minimum intermodulation. According to this method a high power amplifier in the Ka band was designed. Using a nonlinear model of the transistor, optimum slope for load-line was determined so that maximum power at the output was obtainable, then the output matching circuit was synthesized. Finally, the nonlinear network of the high power amplifier was analyzed by the harmonic balance method and the output load cycles were optimized by modification of the bias point or output matching network.

Abstract

One of the most important Turkish tribe in Iran is Qashqai. This tribe has had its own culture, literature and language. It seems that in the process of modernization and Homogenization in Iran, this culture especially its literature is vanishing. Then, it is necessary to do some researches to protect it from being destroyed. Qashqai tribe has rich oral literature and culture whose stories are a part of it. Since up to now, no study with structural approach has been performed on these stories; we have examined ten stories as case study. The Methodology of the study is based on morphological model of Vladimir Propp, Russian formalist researcher. For this purpose, at first, all stories are analyzed and then each story’s model is mentioned with combination of their motions. This study shows that Qashqai tribe’s stories has the ability of structural study and to great extent is compatible with Iranian stories.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate the conceptual metaphors of anger in Dashti dialect. The theoretical foundations of this study are based on the approach proposed by Lakoff and Johnson (1980) about the conceptual structure of metaphors and Kovecse's (2005) regarding the role of cultural patterns in metaphorical conceptualization. This study uses the method suggested by Stefanovich (2006) under the title of metaphorical pattern analysis. For this purpose, language expressions that convey the concept of anger were provided and analyzed through interviews with 45 speakers (40 years old and older) of Dashti region and also by observing the linguistic behaviors of the speakers of this region. The data of this study, in addition to showing common and universal source domains, clearly reveal the influence of factors that arise from the climatic and cultural experiences of the speakers of this region.

Abstract

Nowadays, in most of the organizations such as project-based organizations, outsourcing the projects and transferring the activities are followed by concentrating in core capabilities, reducing size, achieving the best performance, and controlling and transparency of costs. Since each of the outsourcing projects commits the responsibility of performing each part of the project activities to a contractor for a specific period of time and determined costs, this outsourcing process is it self considered as a project. Therefore, despite its numerous advantages, in some situations, it fails, and the most important reason for this failure is lack of using appropriate methods and techniques of management in risk assessment. As a result, the purpose of this paper is presenting a risk assessment model in outsourcing process using the analytic hierarchy process and PROMETHEE methods in fuzzy environment.

Abstract

In this study, the effect of essential oils of dill in 4 levels of 0, 250, 500 and 750 µl/L in some physicochemical properties (moisture, acidity and pH), color index (a*, b* and L*), microbial (total count, Coliform, E Coli, mold and yeast) and sensory properties including color, flavor and texture of sun dried raisins during storage time was investigated. The results of statistical analysis of the data showed that during storage, the moisture and  indexes of b* (blue to yellow) and a* (green to red) and L* (brightness and darkness) of samples decreased significantly, but these properties with increasing amounts of essential oil of dill in the solution increased (p<0.01). Also during storage, with increasing the amount of dill essential oil, the acidity decreased and the pH increased (p<0.01). The results of microbial experiments showed that during storage, with increasing the amount of essential oil, the total count and coliforms decreased, which was significant in treatments containing 500 and 750 µl/L. The number of molds and yeasts also increased during the storage times and decreased with the amount of dill essential oil (p<0.05). According to the results of sensory evaluation, with increasing the amount of dill essential oil up 500 µl/L, the score of flavor and texture increased, but with further increase of the amount of essential oil caused decreased the flavor score compared to the control sample (P <0.05). Based on the results obtained of this study, the use of 500 µl/L of dill essential oil for storage of sun dried raisins, is recommended.

Abstract

The composites derived from the bioactive glasses, such as BG/polysulfone, have better mechanical properties than pure materials and their characteristics are closer to human bone. In this study, the unknown fracture behavior of 58s BG/PSF composite has been investigated. The extended finite element method (XFEM) was used, in order to model the fracture behavior of 58s BG/PSF composite with greater accuracy. The XFEM doesn’t require remeshing at each step and achieves the precise approximation of singularities by incorporating discontinuity behavior into the elements using the enrichment functions. The aim of using the XFEM was to obtain stress intensity factors, displacements, stress and strain around the crack tip, fracture toughness as well as strain energy release rate. Moreover, the 58s BG/PSF composite with 30% bioactive glass particles was synthesized using solvent casting method and the bending failure test was performed according to the relevant standard. Also, to demonstrate the quality of the interface between the glass particles and polysulfone, SEM investigation was performed on the fracture surface. The obtained fracture toughness was in the range of 1.4 to 1.6 , and the strain energy release rate was in the range of 1600 to 1900 J.m-2, which was comparable to the same properties of natural human bone. Besides, the stress intensity factors and strain energy release rates were calculated by coding in MATLAB and modeling in ABAQUS, and the numerical results were validated with the analytical and experimental data and it was revealed that the numerical results were in great coordinance with the analytical and experimental results.

Abstract

The main question of this paper is to explain the role of the literary institution in the context of power relations and in particular the arrival of Iranian society into the era of Pahlavi rule. In the meantime, based on Ernest Cassirer's comments, the late literary works of the Qajar period until the first Pahlavi era was evaluated. Contrary to the prevailing approaches to text as abstract, neutral, inactive, and merely reflective of a subject or matter, Cassirer believes that texts as a system of signs are, above all, a set of practices that have the capacity to be the position of agency. On this basis, he believes that the mental construction of the new world is still influenced by myths that are produced and reproduced in various ways and with specific purposes. The results obtained and described by these works show that literature in this period, by creating a particular kind of myths and then expanding and diffusing the mythical insights into heroism and nationalist discourse, provided the basis for the emergence of the First Pahlavi rule.

Abstract

Dependency of Iranian Economy on oil revenues has provided conditions for imposing further sanctions on Iran. One way for Iran to get rid of sanctions is to sell its oil in currencies other than US dollar. In this regard, this article evaluates the risks for Iran if it, in selling oil, substitutes US dollar with currencies of its oil importing countries. We firstly apply Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average (ARIMA) and Self-Exciting Threshold Autoregressive (SETAR) models on Yuan and Rupee data for the period of 1990:01-2019:05 as well as on Euro data for the period of 1999:01-2019:05 and then based on the estimated models, forecast losses and gains for the period of 2019:06-2021:12 if Iran sells oil to China, India and Europe and receive payments respectively in Yuan, Rupee and Euro. Our forecasts indicate that selling oil to India and China and receiving oil revenue in Rupee and Yuan respectively will significantly decrease value of oil exports in range of 5-23 percent due to very likely devaluation of these currencies vs. the US dollar. Therefore, Iran must firstly use in its oil transaction relevant diplomacy with its oil importing countries, requesting them to share in risks of devaluation of their currencies vs. US dollar. Secondly, as a particular example, this article shows that political decisions may bring in economic consequences for the country. Therefore, Iranian authorities are expected to consider economic consequences of their political decisions more seriously and with sufficient transparency.

Abstract

Since its establishment in the 1960s, the Children’s Book Council(CBC) has endeavored to elevate Iranian children’s literature by setting criteria for evaluating and selecting the best works. Given the significance of literary awards and distinguished books in shaping readers’ minds and guiding the literary community, this paper examines the criteria set forth by this institution and the extent to which they align with the award-winning works of the 1970s. This analysis critically evaluates the Council’s performance during this influential decade and revisits a pivotal period in the history of children’s and young adult literature, as well as the history of Persian poetry criticism. During this decade, three works by Mahmoud Kiyanoush—The Green Indian Parrot, Silver-Winged Golden Beak, and The Garden of Stars—were selected by the Council. The selection of three works by Kiyanoush indicates that the Council, both theoretically and in its practical application of production and creation criteria, was influenced by this poet’s ideas. Based on the Council’s reviews and the findings of this research, the criteria for poetry criticism underwent significant changes in this decade compared to the previous one. A reliance on artistic originality and poetic essence, as well as a focus on a child’s perspective, were the most important criteria during this period. This approach to children’s poetry played a crucial role in the transformations of subsequent decades.

Abstract

Todays, in addition to the economic aspect, paying attention to the social and environmental aspects has contributed to the sustainability of the supply chain. On the other hand, macro management attitudes for profitability are considered as a key component in the robustness of various industries, including citrus production. In this research, using a system dynamics approach we examine the effect of profitability on its related factors through a systematic view. For this purpose, a system dynamical model is presented and in order to validate it, its behavior is compared with historical collected observations. Statistical analysis indicates that the simulated model is adhered to its actual state. To further explore the Monte Carlo simulation is performed for sensitive variables, and finally, the proposed model is implemented under different employed scenarios. In different times of simulations have shown that several interventions such as research and development (R&D) can increase the citrus production and other key variables.

Abstract

Adopting a scientific approach to management and human resource management in Iran is less than a century old. This study has studied the evolution of "human resource management knowledge" in Iran using the qualitative research strategy of the Grounded Theory. The research data were obtained from interviews with a group of veteran professors of Iranian management knowledge, supplemented with data collected from written sources. The oral and written data of the research were then analyzed using open coding, central coding, and selective coding. The final theory based on the systematic model of the Strauss and Corbinchr('39')s Grounded theory categorizes the evolution of human resource management knowledge in Iran into four historical periods: "period of formation", "period of growth", "period of separation" and "period of re-creation" of human resources.

Abstract

Farmers’ satisfaction with agricultural water management can be used as a measure of the fairness of water distribution and the performance of an irrigation scheme. Therefore, the assessment of farmers’ satisfaction in this respect could provide useful insights contributing to the sustainable governance of irrigation water. In this study, the population of interest consisted of residents in district of Lajan using the public irrigation network in Piranshahr Township, Iran. Using Krejcie and Morgan’s table and following a simple random sampling method, 110 individuals were selected as the research sample. Questionnaire [based on the European Performance Satisfaction Index (EPSI)] was the main tool for data gathering. The validity of the questionnaire was verified by a panel of experts. To assess its reliability, Cronbach’s Alpha coefficient was calculated for the main scales of the questionnaire (α= 0.74 to 0.86). According to the obtained data, the main factors influencing farmers’ satisfaction included the perceived image of irrigation governance, expectations of farmers from irrigation governance, and the perceived quality and value of irrigation. According to the results, farmers believed that irrigation management by the government was a solution for reducing local conflicts in relation to agricultural water use and justice in the distribution of irrigation water. However, they were not satisfied with the irrigation scheme governance.

Abstract

The structure of the form and content of the gravestones of the Islamic era are significantly influenced by climatic, historical and cultural factors. The gravestones are divided into three main groups, raised, horizontal and combined. Box-shaped tombstones are also one of the species of horizontal gravestones that have different types. The lack of typology and accurate classification of this type of tombstone has caused turbulence in naming works among researchers. In addition, by studying the style of the common and different elements in the structure of the shape and content of the wooden cenotaphs, a precise typology of the tombstones can be presented. Identifying and explaining the common and different aspects of the structure of the form and content in the works mentioned and describing them can be a source for many studies in this field and reduce conflicting ideas among researchers.
